Antique John Deere Implements

This is a little collection of illustrated articles about some of the implements and attachments that were contemporary to the Model B Tractor. Just click on the one you would like to know more about.

PLOWING

Plowing with three different types of John Deere plows.

HARROWING

Springtime harrowing with the Model "JB" Disk Harrow.

MOWING

Mowing with the Number 5 Mower. This is a semi-mounted mower that was the most popular sickle-bar mower of its time.

RAKING

Springtime hay raking with the model 594, high-wheel "Side-Delivery" hay rake.

GATHERING

Gathering up the hay, the old-fashioned way. I bet gramps had to do it this way ALL of the time!

BALING

The No.116W wire tie, automatic pick-up Hay Baler.

CULTIVATING

Cultivating asparagus with the B200 Series, Two-row, Tractor-mounted, "Quik-tache" cultivator.

ALL OF THE ABOVE

A few more pictures of all of the implements in Gene's collection, in "action".
